Full-cycle quality control system

KML is equipped with industry-standard testing equipment, providing precise data support for product quality control. It has also passed multiple authoritative certifications, gaining global recognition for its quality.

Incoming Quality Control (IQC)

As the first line of defense for lighting quality, KML conducts rigorous inspections on core components such as lamp body heat sinks, driver power supplies, light sources, and lenses to ensure that raw materials meet standards from the source.

Qualification review:

We only accept materials that meet international or national authoritative certification standards and provide relevant test reports; at the same time, we conduct annual process compliance audits of core suppliers to ensure the stability of material quality from the source of cooperation.

Parameter verification:

According to the BOM list, the model, specifications and quantity of materials are checked to prevent problems such as "wrong materials" and "insufficient materials"; the deviation of key parameters such as the thermal conductivity of the heat sink and the light source from the design parameters is strictly controlled within a reasonable range to ensure the compatibility of components.

Functional testing:

As per the order requirements, we conducted tests on the color temperature, brightness, color rendering index, and wavelength of the light source, and on the power, current, and voltage of the driving power supply. We also conducted additional waterproof tests on the waterproof power supply to verify that its waterproof performance met the standards.

In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

In the lighting fixture production process, KML follows the ISO 9001 quality management system, setting up multiple inspection points to ensure early detection and rectification of potential problems in the process.

First article inspection:
When the production line starts up, 3-5 samples are assembled and jointly inspected by the process, quality control, and production teams.
Key process inspection:
IPQC conducts inspections every 2 hours on core processes such as wire bonding, lens locking, and waterproof sealing.
Specialized pre-control test:
For processes that affect reliability, such as lamp assembly and waterproof sealing, additional samples are taken to conduct waterproof tests on the products in advance to test the waterproof performance of the products and avoid leaving hidden dangers in the products and affecting the next process.
Abnormal response:
If any operational deviations or performance defects are found, the production line should be stopped immediately. The technical and production departments should work together to analyze the cause, rectify the issues, and then re-verify the first piece to ensure that the problem does not flow into the next process.

Finished Product Quality Control (FQC)

After the finished products are assembled, KML conducts comprehensive testing on each batch of finished products in accordance with relevant standards such as lighting fixture and electrical parameters.

Optical performance testing
By using a photometer and integrating sphere tester to test luminaires, essential optical values ​​such as light intensity distribution curve, luminous flux, color temperature, SMCD, and color rendering index can be accurately measured, allowing for a precise understanding of the luminaire's various performance characteristics.
Electrical safety inspection
In accordance with the electrical safety requirements for Class II lighting fixtures, the lighting fixtures were subjected to 2U+1000V withstand voltage tests, insulation resistance tests, and power factor verification, with grounding resistance measured simultaneously to eliminate potential electrical safety hazards.
Salt spray test
According to GB/T 2423.17 (equivalent to IEC 60068-2-11), the finished product is placed in a 5% sodium chloride solution mist environment and continuously tested at 35℃±2℃. After that, steel components such as brackets and screws are installed and subjected to a 96-hour neutral salt spray test. After the test, there should be no corrosion that affects safety and installation function.
Waterproof test
The specific method is to conduct a water spray test. For products with an IP65 or higher protection rating, simulate a water flow rate of 12.5L-100L/min. The distance between the test sample and the water spray nozzle is 2.5-3m. According to IEC standards, the water spray test lasts for 3 minutes. Finally, check that there is no water ingress into the lamp to verify that the basic seal meets the standards.
Aging test
The finished product enters the aging chamber and is subjected to electrical aging for no less than 8 hours under constant voltage and ambient temperature. The brightness, heat dissipation temperature and drive temperature rise of the lamps are continuously monitored after aging.
Energy efficiency testing
Verify the power conversion efficiency and the light transmittance of the lens or glass cover to ensure that the luminaire performance meets the standards.
High and low temperature test

After 1 hour of 5-30Hz sweep frequency vibration, the structure remained stable, verifying the structural integrity after routine transportation/installation.
